Plan Your Visit

Discover the Multisensory Art Installation at Frankfort Avenue and State Street in the heart of Clifton! Take TARC Route 15, walk, or drive, then explore the neighborhood.

What to Expect

Nestled in Louisville’s historic Clifton neighborhood, you’ll find Clifton Court at 1824 Frankfort Avenue, 40206, just past the corner of Frankfort and State. The Court is a lush green space framed by trees, benches, and a winding brick path, the home to Clifton’s Multisensory Art Experience. Follow the paved path into the courtyard, and the art installation will be straight ahead, mounted on a low, curved wall that’s easy to reach and explore.

The artwork is colorful, textured, and filled with sculpted shapes, symbols, and stories about the very neighborhood you’ll be standing in. It was designed by artist Liz Richter in collaboration with community members to reflect many voices and lived experiences. This is not art behind glass. It’s meant to be touched. You’re invited to sit, explore, and experience it however you feel most comfortable. There are benches nearby to rest and listen to the audio guide, and plenty of space to take it in at your own pace.
